ISP School Whitstable answered a call to support the work of The Baton of Hope, a mental health charity supporting people across Kent and Medway. To coincide with the Baton of Hope Tour, a county-wide event, pupils painted colourful stones with uplifting words and designs. Each stone carried a message of encouragement, such as “You are not alone” and “Keep going – you matter.”
The stones were then placed along Whitstable’s beaches for people to find, keep, or pass on, helping to spread positivity and remind others that support is always available.
This heart-warming project encouraged pupils to reflect on empathy, well-being, and the power of small acts of kindness. The stones have already begun appearing on local community pages, showing how creativity and compassion can bring people together.
ISP Whitstable is proud to support the Kent Baton of Hope and remains committed to promoting positive mental health across the school and wider community.
