New Sensory Garden for ISP Whitstable

We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mr. P. Rumball, who dedicated his half-term break to creating a beautiful new sensory garden for ISP Whitstable school.

Despite our limited outdoor space, he’s transformed raised planters into a vibrant, multi-sensory haven that we’re incredibly proud of 💚

With advice from the Royal Horticultural Society, the garden was designed to stimulate the senses, featuring plants chosen for their colours, textures, and child-friendly fragrances.

Special thanks also to Mr. S. Rumball and Ms. C. Wills, who have taken the reins on garden maintenance, guiding the children in caring for the plants.

The pupils have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in looking after the garden, taking pride in helping it thrive.

This peaceful garden is already becoming a cherished space for learning and reflection. We’re so proud to see our pupils engage with nature and take ownership of its care.

We can’t wait to watch the garden grow and our pupils grow with them 🌸🌱
