On 7 March, staff and students across ISP Teynham and Whitstable celebrated World Book Day.

On 7 March, staff and students across ISP Teynham and Whitstable celebrated World Book Day. Reading is such a vital life skill and so to engage and support pupils to get in the habit, we took part in lots of different activities:

Every pupil got a free book, wrapped with an inspirational quote;

  • People dressed up in some amazing costumes;
  • Whitstable School visited a book shop;
  • At Teynham there was a “match the staff to their favourite book when they were at school quiz.”;
  • We made Harry Potter Potion smoothies and decorated cakes;
  • There was a design a Book Spud Character competition;
  • Staff read aloud to the pupils and they were given plenty of time to read for pleasure.

Planning for next year has already begun!
