Staff And Students

As part of the Citizenship curriculum, ISP School Battle held a Coronation Party!

Children designed invitations which they sent out to other businesses and staff on the Glengorse Estate, as well as the adults who work hard to keep the grounds looking so beautiful. Children used Art lessons to make decorations which they used to decorate the area the day prior to the event. We would also like to thank Lee, one of the grounds people, who went down and ensured the area looked tidy.
Children who had food tech lessons on the day and morning before the party made traditional tea party food. Citizenship lessons focused on the Coronation, the history of the Monarchy and the role of the Monarchy in modern-day society.

The theme in English this term for KS3 GSH group has been animals (more details about this on the website soon), and they have been raising money to sponsor an animal or two with the World Wildlife Fund. Adults and children were offered the opportunity to dress in red, white and blue and donate £1 towards this. The final total will be revealed soon, but everyone was very pleased with the amount raised on the day!

You can see from the pictures, that children and adults all had a great time celebrating and enjoying all of the delicious food that was prepared, as well as using the opportunity to go on the green gym equipment that has recently been installed.

All children managed the unstructured time magnificently and adults were really impressed with the behaviour throughout.
